What to ask your remediator to know you have a good one

  • How do you get the mold from hidden places?

Once mold occurs in the vehicle it should get treated like it's EVERYWHERE! The reason for this is because of mold Spores. So spores and mold itself can hide behind the trim in vehicles, under the carpet padding, above the head liner, and in the dash.

  • What kind of equipment do you use?

Everyone knows tools of the trade are important especially when it comes to your health! Mold Remediators need certain things and although there are several tools for everything here are some things to look for.

    1. A way to gauge moisture

    2. Drying equipment

    3. Gas

    4. Chemicals

  • Are there any hidden fees?

With our company we only charge a fee for the mold remediation and a fee if we have to dry it out. Some Remediators might have other fees and you need to know this before going into it!

  • DO you have a guarantee?

No matter what the work is or what company you go with, make sure they guarantee their work. This is not only a sign of a good work but also a good company.

  • Do you locate the leak?

A good remediator can use several methods and experience to help you locate a leak. Fixing the leak though, should be left to a mechanic. A professional remediator’s focus should be on the remediation process and leaving the mechanical part to a certified licensed professional.

  • Do you replace anything in your process?

This is a great question to ask and there are several reasons why. First reason is you want to compare what they replace to the price if they replace carpet padding, for instance and the price they quoted does not leave much room for the other services so they could just be taking it out and not replacing it or replacing it with something of less quality.
